Accessibility Statement

Nutrition Reviews aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Learn about our site's accessibility features, known limitations and how to report a barrier.

Last updated September 29, 2026

We want Nutrition Reviews to work well for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, voice control or other assistive technologies.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), WCAG is the internationally recognized standard for making websites usable by people with a wide range of disabilities.

What we've built in

  • Keyboard navigation. All links, buttons, menus and form fields can be reached and used with a keyboard alone, and a clearly visible focus indicator shows where you are on the page.
  • Reduced motion. If you've turned on a "reduce motion" setting on your device or in your browser, we minimize animations and transitions.
  • Color contrast. Text and interface elements are designed to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios in both our light and dark themes. We don't rely on color alone to convey meaning, so scores and video sentiment labels are always shown as text too.
  • Clear structure. Pages use meaningful headings, landmarks and descriptive link text, which makes them easier to navigate with a screen reader.
  • Text alternatives. Product images have descriptive alt text, and Supplement Facts panels are presented as real text rather than images.
  • Zoom and small screens. Pages remain usable when zoomed to 200% and adapt to small screens.
  • Forms. Our newsletter and contact forms have visible labels and clear, specific error messages.
  • Videos under your control. Embedded videos never play automatically. Each one loads only when you activate its labeled play button, which works with a keyboard.

Third-party content and known limitations

  • Captions on video reviews. The video reviews we feature are made by independent creators and hosted on YouTube and TikTok. Whether a video has captions, and how accurate they are, depends on the creator and the platform, so we can't guarantee captions for every video. Our written reviews summarize the main themes from creator and buyer feedback, so you can get the key information without watching.
  • Embedded players and retailer sites. The YouTube and TikTok players, and retailer sites such as Amazon and TikTok Shop, are controlled by those companies, and we can't fix accessibility issues within them. If one gets in your way, let us know and we'll try to help, for example by describing what a video covers.

How we test

We check new pages and features with automated accessibility tools and manual testing, including keyboard-only navigation, and we fix issues as we find them. Accessibility is ongoing work, and we review this statement at least once a year.

Report a barrier

If you have trouble using any part of Nutrition Reviews, please tell us through our contact page. It helps to include:

  • the address (URL) of the page
  • what you were trying to do and what went wrong
  • the device, browser and any assistive technology you use

We aim to respond within 2–3 business days. If something on the site isn't accessible to you, we'll do our best to provide the information in another way.
