Pros and cons
Vitamin B-12 1,000 mcg
- About $0.05 per day
- 1,000 mcg dose compensates for limited absorption of oral B12
- Small, coated tablets that are easy to swallow
- Non-GMO, gluten-free and suitable for vegetarians
- No USP or NSF certification
- Brand site shows an outdated %DV and the Amazon listing has copy errors
- Far more B12 than people with normal levels need
Advanced Testosterone Support
- Shilajit at 500 mg per day matches the dose used in published trials of purified shilajit in men
- Every ingredient amount is disclosed — no proprietary blend and no filler botanicals
- Made by a brand with cGMP compliance, an NSF-certified facility, an A rating from Australia's TGA and four rounds of testing
- Simple two-capsule daily dose; buyers consistently report no taste, no aftertaste and no side effects
- Gluten-free, dairy-free and soy-free per Thorne's own verification
- About $1.43 per serving at list price — steep for a four-ingredient formula
- Ashwagandha at 120 mg is below the 300–600 mg used in most root-extract testosterone trials
- Not NSF Certified for Sport, unlike several other Thorne products
- Human evidence that luteolin meaningfully affects testosterone or aromatase is limited
Our verdicts
Vitamin B-12 1,000 mcg
For most people who need extra B12, this is the simplest and cheapest effective option: a well-studied form at a dose that compensates for limited absorption, in a tablet anyone can swallow. It lacks independent certification and its listings are sloppy, but the formula itself is sound.

Advanced Testosterone Support
This is a clean, honestly dosed hormone-support formula from one of the most rigorously manufactured brands in the category, and shilajit at 500 mg is the one component genuinely matched to its research. But the overall evidence for raising testosterone with botanicals is modest, the ashwagandha dose is on the low side, and roughly $1.43 a day is a lot for four ingredients. Reasonable for men who want a conservative, fully disclosed option and have realistic expectations; not a substitute for sleep, training or medical evaluation of low testosterone.
