Pros and cons

Focus Mushroom Ground Coffee (formerly Think)

  • Tastes like regular dark-roast coffee, with no mushroom flavor according to most reviewers
  • Discloses 250 mg lion's mane and 250 mg chaga per serving on its Amazon listing
  • USDA Organic, fruiting-body extracts, and the brand says it is tested for toxins
  • 4.4 stars from 21,000+ buyer reviews
  • Mushroom doses are well below those used in most lion's mane studies
  • Marketing claims such as clearing brain fog fast outpace the evidence
  • About $1.50 per cup, more than regular organic coffee
  • Full caffeine (about 150 mg per 12 oz cup) despite no-jitters messaging

Mushroom Coffee

  • Only 48 mg caffeine per medium-roast cup, about half a regular coffee
  • USDA Organic, vegan, gluten-free and no sugar
  • Prebiotic fibers (acacia, inulin, tapioca) add a little fiber
  • Large, mostly satisfied buyer base (4.6 stars from 6,700+ TikTok Shop reviews)
  • About 2 g of six mushrooms per serving, with undisclosed individual amounts far below studied doses
  • About $1.50 per cup, several times the cost of regular coffee
  • Human evidence for mushroom benefits on energy and focus is weak
  • No published third-party contaminant testing found

Our verdicts

Focus Mushroom Ground Coffee (formerly Think)

Focus is the easiest mushroom coffee to recommend if you simply want a good organic dark roast: it tastes like regular coffee and discloses its mushroom doses. Just don't expect the lion's mane or chaga to do much at 250 mg each, because the caffeine is doing the heavy lifting.

Mushroom Coffee

RYZE is a pleasant, lower-caffeine coffee alternative, and that alone may justify it for jittery coffee drinkers. As a functional product it is overhyped: the undisclosed six-mushroom blend is too small and too diluted to expect the benefits its marketing implies, and you pay a steep premium per cup.
