Our verdict
Focus is the easiest mushroom coffee to recommend if you simply want a good organic dark roast: it tastes like regular coffee and discloses its mushroom doses. Just don't expect the lion's mane or chaga to do much at 250 mg each, because the caffeine is doing the heavy lifting.

Four Sigmatic's lion's mane coffee, previously marketed as Think and now sold as Focus, is the most conventional product in this category: real, full-caffeine organic ground coffee from Honduras with organic lion's mane and wildcrafted chaga extracts added. You brew it like any ground coffee, and Four Sigmatic says a 12-ounce cup has about 150 mg of caffeine, similar to regular coffee. Its Amazon listing specifies 250 mg of lion's mane and 250 mg of chaga per serving, both from fruiting bodies rather than grain-grown mycelium.
Disclosing the mushroom amounts puts it ahead of most mushroom coffees, but the doses are still modest. Lion's mane studies that reported small cognitive benefits generally used around 1 g or more per day, often for weeks, and human research on chaga is very limited. The focus and energy you feel will come mostly from the caffeine, and claims such as clearing brain fog fast go beyond the evidence.
Where Focus stands out is taste. Reviewers repeatedly say it simply tastes like good dark-roast coffee with no mushroom flavor, and the Amazon listing holds 4.4 stars from more than 21,000 reviews, though a few reviewers dislike the aftertaste. It is USDA Organic, and the brand says its coffee is tested for toxins. At $20 per 10-ounce bag (about 13 cups) on Four Sigmatic's site, it works out to roughly $1.50 per cup: more than ordinary organic coffee, but less than most instant mushroom blends.
