Our verdict
For shoppers who prioritize ingredient transparency and third-party verification, this is one of the strongest whey isolates available: 28 g of protein, a short stevia-sweetened ingredient list, NSF Certified for Sport status and public batch testing. The trade-off is price, at more than $2 per serving, and stevia's flavor will not suit everyone.

Transparent Labs built its reputation on listing the exact amount of every ingredient, and its grass-fed whey isolate is the clearest example. Each scoop delivers 28 g of protein from whey isolate that the brand says comes from grass-fed American dairy cows raised without growth hormones. The Milk Chocolate version adds only cocoa, natural flavors, salt, stevia and sunflower lecithin, each listed by weight, with no artificial sweeteners, dyes or preservatives.
A 28 g dose sits comfortably inside the range research links to a strong muscle protein synthesis response after training, and isolate's extra filtration removes most of the lactose, which helps people who struggle with concentrate-based blends. The grass-fed claim is mainly a sourcing preference; there is little evidence it changes muscle-building results.
Verification is where this powder stands out. NSF's Certified for Sport database lists the flavor line, including Milk Chocolate, the brand states Informed Choice and Informed Protein certification, and batch test results are published on its website. Few protein powders combine all three.
buyers rate the 30-serving Milk Chocolate tub 4.7 out of 5, praising the taste, the lack of a chalky aftertaste and how easily it sits on the stomach, while opinions on value are split. At $64.99 for 30 servings, or about $2.17 each, it is one of the pricier isolates, and people who dislike the taste of stevia may want to start with a smaller purchase or the Unflavored version.
