Pros and cons

Women Hair Growth Nutraceutical

  • NSF Certified for Sport (brand and NSF listings)
  • Biotin-free, so no biotin-related lab test interference from this product
  • Controlled trial of the original formula and a favorable 2023 systematic review
  • Vegan formula with smaller capsules
  • Widely recommended by dermatologist creators
  • $88 per month, among the most expensive supplements in any category
  • Ingredients sit in proprietary complexes without individual doses
  • Four capsules a day; some buyers report stomach upset or diarrhea
  • New formula's clinical results not yet peer-reviewed

Undeniable Beauty

  • Certified to NSF/ANSI 173, so label contents are verified and contaminants screened
  • Fully disclosed label, including the 50 mg keratin dose
  • Natural-source vitamin E and no synthetic flavors or colors
  • 4.5-star average across 14,000+ buyer ratings, with frequent praise for the taste
  • Biotin at 8,333% DV has little evidence of benefit unless you are deficient
  • Keratin dose is one-tenth of the 500 mg used in a published solubilized-keratin trial
  • Costs more than twice as much per day as Nature's Bounty's similar biotin gummy
  • Contains gelatin and 2 g of added sugar; some buyers report breakouts

Our verdicts

Women Hair Growth Nutraceutical

Nutrafol Women is the most credible of the heavily marketed hair supplements: NSF Certified for Sport, dermatologist-endorsed and supported by a controlled trial of its original formula. But it costs about $1,000 a year, hides doses in proprietary blends, and its new biotin-free formula has less published evidence. Get a diagnosis first, and try it for six months only if the budget allows.

Undeniable Beauty

Undeniable Beauty is one of the better-made beauty gummies: NSF certified, fully disclosed and widely liked for its taste. But it relies on the same high-dose biotin as cheaper rivals, and its 50 mg of keratin is a fraction of the studied amount. Think of it as a pleasant daily habit, not a fix for thinning hair.
