Pros and cons
Colostrum Unflavored
- One ingredient: 1 g of grass-fed US bovine colostrum per scoop, with no additives, sweeteners or flow agents
- Brand reports third-party testing of every production run for heavy metals, glyphosate and microbes, with cGMP manufacturing
- Neutral, malty taste that works dry-scooped or stirred into cool drinks and food
- Bovine colostrum has some placebo-controlled evidence for gut-permeability markers and upper respiratory symptoms in athletes
- About $4 a day at ARMRA's suggested four-plus scoops, roughly $120 a month
- Immunoglobulin (IgG) content is not disclosed, so potency cannot be compared with other colostrum
- Respiratory-symptom trials used 10 to 20 g a day, gut trials were tiny, and ARMRA's own human data is an uncontrolled survey
- Clumps in liquid, and some buyers report cracked jars and spilled powder
Dr. Formulated Probiotics Once Daily Women's
- 50 billion CFU guaranteed at expiration date, not just at manufacture
- 16 species across Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium families in a single capsule
- Shelf-stable in a desiccant-lined bottle, so no refrigeration is needed
- Non-GMO Project Verified and NSF Certified Gluten Free
- Includes 317 mg of organic prebiotic fiber (resistant potato starch and acacia)
- Probiotic blend discloses only total CFU, not per-strain amounts or strain designations
- No published certificate of analysis for potency or contaminants that we could find
- About $1.23 per capsule at brand list price — above many multi-strain peers
- Buyers regularly note the capsule is on the large side and that some people feel no clear change
Our verdicts
Colostrum Unflavored
ARMRA is a clean, single-ingredient colostrum from a brand that says it tests every batch for contaminants, and many loyal users credit it with less bloating. But the price is steep, the IgG content is undisclosed, and the gut and immune evidence comes from small, short trials, mostly in athletes and often at much larger doses. Think of it as an expensive experiment rather than a proven gut-health staple; fiber or a well-studied probiotic is a cheaper, better-supported first step.

Dr. Formulated Probiotics Once Daily Women's
A well-constructed, convenient daily probiotic: high total CFU guaranteed through expiration, broad species coverage, a prebiotic fiber base, and two legitimate third-party certifications. It loses points for a blend that hides per-strain CFU counts and omits strain designations, which makes the women's-health positioning harder to tie to published research. Reasonable for someone who wants a simple once-daily capsule and does not mind paying around a dollar a day, but cheaper strain-transparent options exist.
