Our verdict
Micro Ingredients delivers a reasonable collagen dose at one of the lowest prices per gram we track, which helps explain its TikTok success. The trade-offs are an undisclosed four-source blend, a biotin megadose few people need, thin quality documentation and weak allergen labeling. It is a fair budget pick for people without fish or egg allergies, while anyone who wants verified purity should pay a little more for an NSF-certified single-source collagen.

Micro Ingredients Multi Collagen Peptides is the best-selling product of TikTok Shop's biggest health seller. Its official listing shows about 1.4 million units sold, the most in the brand's store, and FindNiche's October 2026 ranking puts Micro Ingredients first among US TikTok Shop health sellers by units. We reviewed the unflavored 2 lb bag (82 servings); the formula also comes in 1 lb bags and 40 packets.
Two scoops (about 11 g) provide a 10,888 mg "Multi Collagen Complex" of hydrolyzed bovine and fish collagen, chicken bone broth protein concentrate and eggshell membrane, plus 55 mg vitamin C, 55 mg hyaluronic acid and 2,500 mcg biotin. The label does not give each source's amount, so the "types I, II, III, V, X" promise cannot be checked. The collagen dose exceeds the 2.5 to 5 g that improved skin elasticity in one placebo-controlled trial, but the wider evidence is mixed: a 2021 meta-analysis found better skin hydration and elasticity, while a 2025 analysis found no benefit in trials without industry funding. The hyaluronic acid is under half the 120 mg used in a skin-moisture trial, and the biotin, about 83 times the adult adequate intake, can distort some lab tests.
At the brand's $49.95 list price a serving costs about 61 cents, roughly 5.6 cents per gram of the collagen complex, less than most collagens we review. The brand says products are third-party tested for heavy metals and microbes, but it names no certification, we found no published results, and California Proposition 65 notices have alleged lead in several of its other powders. Buyers often report stronger nails and hair; clumping and an off taste in plain water are recurring complaints. The allergen line says only "may contain fish and eggs," though fish collagen and eggshell membrane are listed ingredients.
