Our verdict
Naked Whey is the simplest way to add whey to your diet: one ingredient, 25 g of protein per serving and a fair price for grass-fed sourcing. It tastes plain on its own and its NSF certification could not be confirmed in NSF's public database, so it suits blenders and bakers better than athletes who need verified testing.

Naked Whey is the minimalist's protein powder. The unflavored version lists a single ingredient, whey protein concentrate, which the brand says comes from grass-fed cows on small dairy farms and is cold processed. There are no sweeteners, flavors, gums or lecithin. A 30 g serving (about two scoops) provides 25 g of protein and 5.9 g of naturally occurring BCAAs, with 120 calories, 3 g of carbohydrate and 2 g of sugar.
That small amount of sugar is naturally occurring lactose, so people who react strongly to dairy sugar may do better with an isolate; the brand sells a separate Naked Whey Isolate. For everyone else, 25 g of whey is a well-studied dose for supporting muscle protein synthesis after training.
Because it is unflavored, it shines in smoothies, oatmeal and baking, but most reviewers, including several fitness coaches on YouTube, say it tastes like plain milk powder on its own. buyers rate the 5 lb tub 4.3 stars across nearly 11,000 ratings, praising the clean ingredient list and quality while reporting clumping and foam when it is shaken rather than blended.
The label carries an NSF Contents Certified mark, but we could not find Naked Whey in NSF's public dietary supplement listings, which do list the company's creatine and pre-workout, so we treat that certification as unconfirmed. Batch certificates of analysis are not posted on the product page.
At $139.99 for 76 servings, about $1.84 per serving, it is fairly priced for a grass-fed whey.
