Our verdict
Energy & Focus Gum is one of the few products in this category whose formula matches the evidence: a modest caffeine dose paired with L-theanine, clearly labeled. It won't transform your brain, but as a convenient, controllable caffeine hit it does what it says, provided the sugar alcohols and taste agree with you.

Energy & Focus Gum is NeuroGum's best-selling product (the packaging now reads simply "Neuro") and one of the biggest sellers in TikTok Shop's health category. Each sugar-free piece delivers 40 mg of natural caffeine from green coffee beans and 60 mg of L-theanine, plus vitamins B6 and B12 at 41% and 100% of the Daily Value. That is roughly half a cup of coffee per piece, and the brand suggests one or two pieces at a time.
Unlike most products in this category, the formula is simple and fully disclosed, and its core pairing is reasonably well supported. Studies of caffeine combined with L-theanine suggest better attention and fewer jitters than caffeine alone, and one or two pieces (40–80 mg of caffeine with 60–120 mg of L-theanine) fall within the range used in that research. Gum may also deliver caffeine a little faster than a drink, although the practical advantage is modest.
The downsides are mostly practical. The gum is sweetened with sorbitol, xylitol, sucralose, monk fruit and stevia, and sugar alcohols can cause digestive upset if you chew several pieces. Some buyers dislike the slightly bitter caffeine taste or say the flavor fades quickly. It is also easy to stack caffeine: NeuroGum notes that about 10 pieces would reach the FDA's 400 mg daily reference amount.
At $24.99 for 54 pieces on the brand site (about $0.46 per piece), it costs more per milligram of caffeine than coffee, but it is portable, sugar-free, vegan and far cheaper than nootropic shots. We could not find a third-party certification.
