Hair Growth Supplement
A drug-free hair supplement built on the AminoMar marine complex plus zinc, vitamin C and modest biotin, with company-funded trials; cheaper than Nutrafol but still pricey.

A budget biotin gummy with 70,000+ buyer ratings: 2,500 mcg biotin plus a little vitamin C and E for about $0.19 a day; weak evidence it helps without a deficiency.

Our verdict
A cheap, pleasant-tasting and fully disclosed biotin gummy that delivers exactly what its label says. The problem is the premise: for most people without a deficiency, 2,500 mcg of biotin is unlikely to change hair, skin or nails. Buy it as a low-cost experiment if you like, and tell your clinician before any blood test.

Nature's Bounty Optimal Solutions Hair, Skin & Nails Gummies are among the most-reviewed beauty supplements on Amazon, where the listing averages 4.6 stars from more than 70,000 ratings. Each two-gummy strawberry serving provides 2,500 mcg of biotin (8,333% of the Daily Value), 15 mg of vitamin C (17% DV) and 6.7 mg of vitamin E in its synthetic dl-alpha form (45% DV), with 15 calories and 2 g of added sugar. The 80-count bottle sells for about $7.69, roughly $0.19 per day.
The weak point is the evidence for its main ingredient. Biotin is an essential vitamin, but a 2017 review of the research found that every reported case of biotin improving hair or nails involved an underlying deficiency or condition, and concluded there is not enough evidence to recommend it for healthy people. A 2023 JAMA Dermatology systematic review of hair-loss supplements did not list biotin among the options with the highest-quality evidence. The vitamin C and E doses are modest.
The label is fully disclosed, with no proprietary blend. Nature's Bounty says it tests products for purity and potency and sources ingredients from GMP-compliant suppliers, but we found no named third-party certification such as USP or NSF.
Buyers consistently praise the taste and easy chew, and many report faster nail and hair growth. Amazon's review summary also notes mixed skin results, including breakouts, and gummies that clump together. The gummies contain gelatin, so they are not vegetarian. The label advises consulting a doctor before clinical lab testing, because high biotin intakes can distort some blood tests.
