Liquid Morning Multivitamin + Hair Growth

MaryRuth's viral liquid multi uses Lustriva at the dose that thickened hair in a trial, but 10,000 mcg of biotin can skew lab tests and it costs $2.50 a day.

Our verdict

This is one of the few viral hair supplements that uses its headline ingredient at the dose that worked in a trial, and Clean Label Project certification adds confidence. The trade-offs are real: the evidence is one ingredient study, the 10,000 mcg of biotin can skew blood tests, and $2.50 a day is steep for a multivitamin missing key minerals. Women who want one tasty liquid for hair and daily vitamins may find a three-month trial worthwhile, but anyone with upcoming lab work or a tight budget should look elsewhere.

Best for

  • Women with thinning hair who want one daily liquid
  • People who dislike swallowing pills
  • Vegan, gluten-free and sugar-free diets

Skip it if

  • Anyone with upcoming blood tests, unless their doctor knows about the biotin
  • People who need iron, iodine or calcium from their multivitamin
  • Shoppers on a tight budget

Our review

MaryRuth's Liquid Morning Multivitamin + Hair Growth is the brand's breakout product. MaryRuth's says it sold more than 369,000 bottles in 2024, and sales data from Charm.io, reported in June 2026, put MaryRuth's among TikTok Shop's top supplement brands on the strength of its liquid hair-growth formula. It keeps the original Liquid Morning Multivitamin's base of vitamins A, C, D, E and all eight B vitamins and adds three things: 160 mg of Lustriva, 10,000 mcg of biotin and 1,000 mcg of chromium.

Lustriva is the reason to buy it. In a 12-week randomized, placebo-controlled trial in 90 women with thinning hair, about 160 mg a day of the ingredient, the dose used here, improved measures of hair thickness from week three and reduced wrinkle depth, while a lower-biotin version did no better than placebo. That is encouraging but limited: it is a single trial of the ingredient rather than this product, and it measured the ratio of fine to thick hairs rather than hair count. The extra biotin adds little for people who aren't deficient, and the FDA has warned that high biotin intake can distort lab results, including troponin tests used to diagnose heart attacks.

Two tablespoons a day replaces a basic multivitamin, though there is no iron, iodine, calcium or magnesium, and zinc is only 1 mg. It is sugar-free (vegetable glycerin supplies 8 g of carbohydrate), vegan, made in a GMP facility and certified by the Clean Label Project, which screens for contaminants. Most buyers like the Peach Mango flavor; a minority report stomach upset. At about $2.50 a day at the brand's price, it costs more than most hair supplements we cover.

Lustriva (inositol-stabilized arginine silicate, magnesium biotinate)

33,333% of the Daily Value; it helps hair mainly when you are deficient, and doses this high can interfere with some lab tests.

Pros & cons

What we like

  • Provides Lustriva at about the 160 mg daily dose that improved hair thickness in a placebo-controlled trial
  • Clean Label Project certified and made in a GMP facility
  • Liquid format with methylfolate and methylcobalamin, so no pills to swallow
  • Sugar-free, vegan, and free of dairy, gluten and soy
  • Most buyers enjoy the Peach Mango flavor

Watch-outs

  • 10,000 mcg of biotin (33,333% DV) can distort lab tests, including troponin tests for heart attacks
  • The hair evidence rests on one 12-week trial of the ingredient, not of this product
  • About $2.50 a day, and it lacks iron, iodine, calcium and magnesium
  • 1,000 mcg of chromium is far above the Daily Value, and some buyers report stomach upset

Questions buyers ask

Does MaryRuth's Hair Growth multivitamin really make hair thicker?
Possibly, but the evidence is narrow. Its Lustriva ingredient, at about the 160 mg used here, improved measures of hair thickness from week three in a 12-week placebo-controlled trial of 90 women with thinning hair, while a lower-biotin version did not. That study tested the ingredient rather than this product, and hair loss with a medical cause needs a doctor's evaluation.
Can the biotin in this product affect blood tests?
Yes. Each serving contains 10,000 mcg of biotin, and the FDA has warned that high biotin intake can cause falsely high or low results on some lab tests, including troponin tests used to diagnose heart attacks. Tell your doctor and the lab that you take it, and ask whether to pause it before blood work.
How long does a bottle last, and how should I take it?
The 30 fl oz bottle holds about 30 servings of two tablespoons, so it lasts a month at the full dose. MaryRuth's suggests taking it in the morning, with or without food; shake well and refrigerate after opening. Some buyers halve the dose to stretch a bottle, but that falls below the Lustriva dose used in the trial.
