Our verdict
Ka'Chava is one of the best-tasting plant-based meal shakes, with good protein, fiber and vitamin coverage per serving. But you are paying a premium for a long superfood list whose doses are undisclosed, and 240 calories is light for a meal. Huel Black Edition delivers more protein and calories per dollar; choose Ka'Chava if flavor is what keeps you consistent.

Ka'Chava's All-In-One Nutrition Shake is one of the most heavily advertised meal shakes in the US, sold on a promise of 85-plus superfoods and nutrients in one scoop. A two-scoop (62 g) serving of the Chocolate flavor provides 240 calories, 25 g of protein from yellow pea and brown rice protein, 6 g of fat, 20 g of carbohydrate, 6 g of fiber and 7 g of sugar, 4 g of it added, mostly from coconut nectar. It is sweetened with monk fruit (luo han guo) rather than stevia or artificial sweeteners.
The vitamin and mineral panel is solid, with 25% to 250% of the Daily Value for most nutrients. The superfoods are another story: more than 30 fruits, vegetables, mushrooms and adaptogens sit inside unquantified blends, and the probiotic strains are listed in CFU per gram of raw ingredient rather than per serving, so the amounts delivered cannot be judged. At 240 calories, most people will also need to add milk, fruit or nut butter for a full meal.
On quality, Ka'Chava says it uses third-party testing for allergens, heavy metals, microbes and pesticides and manufactures in a cGMP-certified facility in California. NSF's Certified for Sport database still lists Ka'Chava flavors from 2023 lots, but the brand does not advertise the certification and those listings reflect an older formula.
Taste is the main reason people stay: reviewers consistently praise the chocolate flavor and smooth texture compared with earthier plant shakes. Price is the sticking point: $69.95 for 15 servings, about $4.66 each, or less with a subscription.
