Our verdict
Synbiotic+ pairs two of the best-researched probiotic strains with a potency guarantee through expiration and top-tier testing transparency. The extras you pay for, the phage prebiotic and tributyrin, have limited human evidence, and the finished formula hasn't been tested in people. It's a solid premium pick if you value traceability; budget shoppers can get LGG alone for a fraction of the price.

Ritual Synbiotic+ puts three components into one mint-scented, delayed-release capsule. It combines 11 billion CFU of two branded probiotic strains, LGG (Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG) and BB-12 (Bifidobacterium animalis ssp. lactis), with 15 mg of PreforPro, a prebiotic made of bacteriophages, and 300 mg of tributyrin (CoreBiome), a postbiotic that delivers butyrate. Importantly, Ritual guarantees the 11 billion CFU at the expiration date, not just at manufacture.
The strain choice is the product's strength. LGG and BB-12 are two of the most studied probiotics in the world. A placebo-controlled trial of 1,248 adults, funded by BB-12's maker, found BB-12 increased bowel-movement frequency in people with infrequent stools, though it didn't improve overall relief of abdominal discomfort. The prebiotic and postbiotic have much smaller evidence bases, and Ritual's own research on the finished product is a lab gut-model study, not a human trial. The label also lists LGG and BB-12 as a combined 40 mg blend, so you can't see the split between them.
Quality and transparency are otherwise excellent. Ritual has every lot third-party tested for heavy metals and microbes, tests for major allergens and names the supplier and country for each ingredient. The product is Non-GMO Project Verified and holds a Clean Label Project Purity Award. The capsule is vegan and free of major allergens.
It's pricey at $54 a month on subscription or $59.99, roughly $1.80–2.00 a day. buyers like the one-a-day format, but effectiveness reviews are mixed, the mint scent divides people, and some report nausea, heartburn or stomach pain.
