Our verdict

OLLY Women's Multi is a pleasant, NSF-certified gummy that covers vitamin D, folate, iodine and B12 well, and its taste keeps people consistent. It is a partial multi, though, with no iron, little zinc and selenium, and fewer B vitamins than before its reformulation. It suits pill-averse women who get iron elsewhere; others will get more from a tablet.

Best for

  • Women who dislike swallowing pills
  • Shoppers who want an NSF-certified gummy
  • Anyone who struggles to take vitamins consistently

Skip it if

  • Women who need iron from their multivitamin
  • Vegetarians and anyone avoiding pork gelatin
  • People limiting added sugar

Our review

OLLY Women's Multi (formerly sold as The Perfect Women's Multi) is one of Amazon's best-selling multivitamins, and it is easy to see why: two berry-flavored gummies deliver a short list of nutrients in a form most people enjoy taking. Each serving provides 800 IU of vitamin D3, 400 mcg DFE of folate (240 mcg as folic acid), 150 mcg of iodine, 6 mcg of B12, 150 mcg of biotin and vitamins A, C and E at 50% to 100% of the Daily Value.

That list is shorter than it looks. OLLY recently reformulated for taste and smell, and the current label no longer includes thiamin, riboflavin or pantothenic acid, which older bottles listed. Zinc (2.5 mg) and selenium (14 mcg) are around a quarter of the DV, and there is no iron, calcium, magnesium or vitamin K, so this is a partial multivitamin by design. Menstruating women who count on a multi for iron will need another source.

Quality checks are better than typical for gummies. OLLY Women's Multi is listed in NSF's database as certified under NSF/ANSI 173, which verifies label contents and screens for contaminants. The Amazon listing nonetheless carries a California Proposition 65 warning for lead. Each serving adds 2 g of added sugar and 15 calories, and the gummies are made with pork gelatin, so they are not vegetarian.

At $12.88 for 90 gummies (about 29 cents a day), it is affordable. Buyers overwhelmingly praise the taste and say it helps them stay consistent; a frequently repeated complaint is gummies melting or clumping in hot weather during shipping.

Watch-outs

  • No iron, calcium, magnesium or vitamin K, and only about a quarter of the DV for zinc and selenium

  • 2 g added sugar per serving and pork gelatin
  • Amazon listing carries a Prop 65 lead warning, and gummies can melt or clump in heat

Questions buyers ask

Does OLLY Women's Multi contain iron?
No. Like most gummy multivitamins, it contains no iron. Women aged 19 to 50 need 18 mg a day, so anyone who menstruates heavily, eats a plant-based diet or has been told they are low in iron should get it from food or a separate supplement, ideally after checking their levels with a clinician.
What changed in the new formula?
OLLY says it improved the formula for better taste and smell. The current two-gummy label lists 15 calories and 3 g of carbohydrate and omits thiamin, riboflavin and pantothenic acid, which the previous label included at 10% to 100% of the Daily Value. Amounts of vitamins A, C, D, E, niacin, B6, B12, folate, biotin, iodine, zinc, selenium and chromium are unchanged.
Are OLLY Women's Multi gummies vegetarian?
No. OLLY says the gummies are made with porcine (pork) gelatin, so they are not suitable for vegetarians, vegans or anyone avoiding pork. They are tested to confirm they are gluten-free and use colors and flavors from natural sources. They are processed in a facility that also handles major allergens such as soy, milk, wheat and tree nuts.
